Baby Quilt

Speaking of quilting... I have a little problem. I have gotten slightly out of control with quilting projects - I am working on 5 different quilts - I know. I don't know what I was thinking, but every time I see a cute new line of fabrics I lose my self-control. I just imagine a pile of fun handmade quilts stacked in my family room for people to snuggle up with and drink hot chocolate, and I feel all warm and fuzzy inside. This baby quilt was so fun and easy to make. I followed the instructions on my friend Kelly McCaleb's blog. She is a gifted seamstress among other things, and she has easy to follow instructions, which you can find here.

I would love to make my girls quilts, but my mom makes it too easy NOT to by making them for us. I can't beat her skill. Maybe someday...

Mexican hot chocolate is one of my favorites too, and that is a good brand.
Have you ever tried it from scratch?

Lauren, I love that you're doing a blog about all things homemaking! You've got another dedicated reader here. The picture of you on Shane's blog is darling, by the way. You look great.

Did you really make that quilt?!! It's incredible. I am making Maya a quilt and now I know who to come to for help...because I need lots! :)

You inspire me. You make me think that quilting is something that I might be able to do.

I am going to try your hot chocolate. We made our own in China with Chili. MMMMmmmmm. I think that I just love the canister that it comes in.
