Baby Boys and Applique Onesies

I love little applique onesies! And I'm starting to love being pregnant, which is new, because it really hasn't been that fun for me. I think maybe, because it has all seemed so unreal to me, I haven't felt any strong attachment to the baby, or any motherly instincts - just the effects of Morning Sickness, Acid Indigestion, Back Pain, and Sleep Deprivation.

During the last few weeks I started noticing some complications with the baby (in short - he's having seizures), so we've had to do a little "testing" and "monitoring", which has been pretty nerve-racking. But, in light of these complications, the most amazing thing happened. Something just snapped in my brain and I became consumed with love for this little baby. I couldn't think about anything else, and I just wanted him to be okay. And, while it turns out that nobody can give us any real answers until after he is born, for now he is strong, and everything looks perfect.

So, it ended up being a real bonding experience for me, and now I sit and watch him move around and think, "Hurry up and come out so I can meet you!" My whole perspective has really changed, and I am so excited to be a Mom. So, I'll probably lose all control now, and make enough onesies to clothe a small country.

Here he is at 29 weeks.

Nice onesie. I wish them made them adult size. Maybe you could make one shane size and see if he'll wear it next halloween.

Keep us updated on any issues. Let us know!

this made me cry. because i want everything to be perfect for you guys. and also because this morning as i've been feeling despressed (you know why) i remembered, that whatever direction the world takes around us, whatever problems exist- our personal happiness will always depend only on the love and strength of our family within the walls of our own homes. i am glad the love in your family is increasing by a life!

I love all the new posts. The Halloween pictures are awesome- and your costume is hilarious.

This post is so sweet. You are going to be such a great Mom. You are such a sweet wife (I love the post about your hubby), so talented, and that little babe in your belly is one lucky little feller.

PS. Your latest recipes sound delish. I can't wait to try them.

I love when you finally connect with your baby. It makes pregnancy seem more worthwhile. But then at the end, the connection isn't enough to take your mind off the discomfort and you SCREAM why won't you come OUT! Or maybe that was just me, 5 days overdue!!

Lauren, what kind of things did you notice when you discovered he was having seizures?

I have noticed some really erratic movements with her. Sometimes there are distinct kicks and rolls but every day there are at least two times I can count that she just kind of shakes in there. It only lasts a second or two but I thought I could be something more. I'll ask my doctor about it when I see him on Monday. I hope all turns out well with Baby Dyer! P.S. I love your blog...I check it all the time and always try out the recipes. You are so talented! He's a lucky boy!!
