Basil Lemonade

The perfect combination of sweet and tart, with a hint of spring fresh basil.

Ingredients
2/3 cup Freshly squeezed Lemon juice
2/3 cup Basil syrup
2 Liters Ginger ale

Basil Syrup
1 Bunch Fresh basil
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup water

Method
Dissolve the sugar in the water in a pan over medium heat on the stove. When the solution is clear, and all the sugar has been dissolved, pour the syrup over the basil and let it steep until cooled to room temperature. Strain the solution, and refrigerate.

Squeeze your lemons, and measure out your juice and basil syrup. Combine the juice, syrup, and ginger ale in a pitcher. Stir gently, and serve. Garnish with fresh basil leaves (If you wish).
