Happy Easter

From Shane, Myself, and this not-so-little-anymore guy. Why is he growing so fast?

James goes skiing

Showing us his "Rad Moves" before we jump in the car.

Being his adorable, irresistable self.

Heading down to the lift with Daddy.

Riding up the "lift", waving, and saying, "Hi Mama!"

Being cute... Again. I swear, he never quits.

Heading down with Daddy, screaming, "Whee! Yeah! So Fun! Go Faster!"

I'm positive that Shane and I had more fun than James.

James is 2

I feel like I just blinked... and James was 2... and talking.... and starting potty training. What happened? He never was a squishy little baby, who liked to be in my arms, but this biking, scootering, destructive tornado is definitely NOT my baby anymore.

James is crazy, and charming, and skillfully manipulative for such a young age. He is curious and energetic, and gets into a lot of trouble, but for all that, he is a sweet boy who loves his Daddy (and Mom too, just not nearly as much as Daddy), and wants to be happy.

He is my Angel boy, who I can't wait to put to bed, but sneak in to hold him while he sleeps. I could, of course, write my proud list of accomplishments by age 2, his likes and dislikes, and so on, but I'll just tell you - he is doing very well. And, obviously, Shane and I think he is the brightest, most adorable, funniest, and sweetest boy that ever lived. We are grateful everyday for the blessing it is to have him in our lives.

P.S. I'd also like to make the official announcement that Baby #2 will be arriving at the end of July. We are very excited.

Halloween

This was James' first trick-or-treating experience.

He picked it up in no-time.

Tahoe

James wanted to be EXTRA careful.

We were at Tahoe for a Dyer family reunion....we're wishing we were still there.

I'm sorry....

They just don't get cuter than this.

New Phase

Yes, he has a sock in his mouth. He was carrying it around like this for a good part of the morning.

Just hanging out...chewing on his sock.

It's the same thing our dog Lucy does - I'm pretty sure that's where he got the idea.

BIG News...

James took his first steps today.

He walked 3 steps from me to Kerianne, and then we got out the video camera, and he was so excited that we were so happy about it that he kept bouncing and losing his balance. We repeated this process several more times throughout the day, never getting it on camera. I have high hopes for tomorrow.

James is 9 months old.
